Man Charged For Anti-German Hate Crime On Queen Anne

King County prosecutors have charged a Seattle man with an anti-German hate crime, following an incident at a Queen Anne bar last week.

Prosecutors say Gracjan Sebastian Adamczyk, 35, was sitting inside the Jabus Pub on lower Queen Anne on May 19th when he overheard a German man talking to a friend.

Police records say Adamczyk "began talking about how he and the Poles hated the German people."

The victim ignored Adamczyk, who continued to pester the man, asking him where he worked and where he was from. The victim told Adamczyk he was from Berlin, and tried to move to another seat at the bar, court records say.

When the victim got up, court documents say Adamczyk pulled out a handgun, pointed it at the victim's head and shouted "I hate the fucking Germans!"

The victim walked out of the bar, and Adamczyk left shortly thereafter.

Officers went to Adamczyk's hearby apartment, arrested him. Court records say officer found a handgun, an "AR-15 style rifle," and "a small marijuana grow operation" in the apartment.

Adamczyk is currently being held in the King County Jail on $100,000 bail.
