Busy Weekend for SPD Part 2
We've got info on a couple more weekend incidents, but I also wanted to make not of the fact that you guys have been making good use of the new Youreport feature on our iPhone app.
Over the weekend, readers posted a couple of items about property damage in Wedgwood and a medic call in the University District.
My car along with 7 others in the area around 55th and 35th ave NE (by Calvary Cemetary behind UVillage) had their windshields broken. Happened at 2:30AM May 8th 2010.

Ambulance has just arrived, near 11th and 42nd.
And now, some SPD reports:
Grey Goose, Assault, and Obstruction at 4th and Union:
On 5/9/10, at approximately 1:00 a.m., officers responded to what was initially reported as a double stabbing. Upon arrival, officers contacted the victims who then pointed out the suspect. The suspect complied with instructions and proned out on the ground. However his girlfriend, fueled by Grey Goose, apparently believed she might be bullet-proof, as she stood between the officers and the suspect and ignored orders to move.
When the officer moved laterally in order to cover the suspect, the female went so far as to move with him and continued to place herself in the line of fire. Eventually, another officer was able to pull the woman away so the suspect could be arrested. It turned out that there was no stabbing. The suspect had attacked and punched the victims, who had done nothing to provoke him in any way. The suspect was arrested for assault and his girlfriend was arrested for Obstructing. Both we booked into King County Jail.
Police also released a statement on the Friday night stabbing at 3rd and Bell, which we first posted about here.
On 5/7/10 at approximately 9:02 p.m., officers were dispatched to a call of a stabbing in the 300 block of Bell St. Officers arrived and contacted the victim who had a slash wound to his throat. The injury was later determined not to be life threatening.
The victim provided a general description of the suspect but would not provide much information about what led to the assault. Witnesses told officers that the victim and suspect had been in a heated argument, during which the suspect was armed with a knife. At one point, the suspect slashed at the victim cutting him in the throat.
It is unknown whether the victim and suspect knew each other, but given the location and the uncooperative demeanor of the victim, it appears that this was some type of drug related incident.
