The front door was slightly ajar when she arrived home around 11:30 in the morning near Yesler and 16th Ave., but it was probably just her roommate. She walked in the house and was about to call out her roommate's name when she saw a six-foot heavy-set black male in a Canadian tuxedo on the staircase. He yelled at her to get out of the house, but the damn door wouldn't open. He told her to get to the back of the house and to turn around and stop looking at him. He was panicked. He kept asking if this one person was home, but she didn't know who he was talking about. Stop looking at him, he kept telling her. He ran out the front door, and she ran out the back and called the police.

The suspect was not located, according to the police report. Both her and her roommate's laptops were missing and the front door was damaged.

May 13, Crown Hill

Sometime between 1 and 4:30 a.m., someone smashed the glass front door window of a business near NW 75th St. and 15th Ave NW and took the tip jar on the counter. The register was not touched and nothing else seemed disturbed, according to the police report. The employee who arrived to open the shop estimated the jar was about a fourth full of change. The report does not note which business it was, but we'd like to think that it was Westernco Donuts, which is right on the corner of 75th and 15th. Because if that's the case, we'd imagine follow up units are there right now, ready to crack this case wiiiiiiide open.
