Two Students Robbed At Gunpoint After Drug Deal Goes Bad In North Seattle Park
Seattle police were called to a North Seattle middle school last week after several students reported that they were robbed at gunpoint and later threatened by two other boys in an off-campus drug deal after school.
When officers arrived at the Wilson Pacific Middle School building on April 27th, staff told police they had received information that several students had been robbed in nearby Licton Springs park a day earlier, and had later been threatened by the robbers, who are also students at the school.
None of the victims wanted to talk to police—one boy say he "did not want to be a snitch"—but school administrators were able to convince one young man to provide a written statement about the incident:
"After school me and some homies went to the park to make a deal. I heard a gun cocked and I looked down to see a 357. They took $300 from my homie and they emptied out my other homies pockets. They didn't take nothin from me and I don't know why they didn't."
The day after the robbery, several of the victims were allegedly threatened by the students who had robbed them, and one victim was sent home after he told his teacher he "did not feel safe at school."
Police questioned one of the suspects, who told officers he didn't have anything to do with the robbery. The report indicates police did not find a weapon and did not make any arrests.
