A one-legged homeless man was robbed of his wheelchair while he slept in a "self-made camp next to a motel that is no longer in business" in the 1600 block of 8th Ave, according to a police report.

"[The] victim is a single-leg amputee and had his wheelchair sitting nearby while he slept under covered area," Officer Patrick Nolting wrote in his report on the March 30th incident. "[The victim] was awakened and observed [an] unknown suspect running away with his wheelchair in hand."

Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect or the wheelchair.
