Police Investigating Whether Girl Was Forced Into Prostitution By Convicted Rapist

By Jonah Spangenthal-Lee April 26, 2010

Ugh. From the PI.com:

Police suspect the man, a convicted rapist living in Mukilteo, helped two juveniles force an 18-year-old to work as a prostitute at two Bellevue hotels.

According to police reports, the teen told investigators she'd received a job offer from another teen over the Internet. The job was described as hotel hospitality work; the 18-year-old agreed to meet with the girl and two male friends.

Detectives report the girl said the trio took her to Bellevue Square, where they bought her $500 worth of clothing and lingerie. They then went to the Bellevue Red Lion hotel, where the men told her she would be working as a prostitute.

When she told the men she wasn't interested in selling her body, the men told her she was now in debt to them, a Bellevue detective said in police reports.
