Daniel S. Friedman, dean of the College of Built Environment at UW (formerly the College of Architecture and Urban Planning), is speaking at Kane Hall right now.

His lecture, the sixth in the U.W.'s NEXT CITY: Sustainable Urbanization series
, is titled "City in Five Acts: Interpreting Urban Experience."

Friedman's talk is—quote—about "the 'analogical city' and offer(s) five interpretive vignettes that frame evolving images of the city, each featuring a singular author and artwork that illuminate major and minor themes of human experience." End quote.

It's free, and he's going until 9.
