If you haven't downloaded the latest update to the Seattlecrime.com iPhone app yet, you really should.

We've just unleashed a slew of new features to make the app even more useful and interactive.

First, as requested by many of you, we've added the ability to view and post comments directly from your phone.

We've tweaked the viewing features for the 911 map, and you can now tell the app to only show you the last hour of incidents.

The thing I'm most excited about is the app's new Youreport function.

Let's say you're walking around your neighborhood and see a big fire or a bunch of cop cars. With the new Youreport feature, you can take a picture and upload it to our nifty crime map for the world to see. Please do not use this for evil.

You can view the Youreport map here. We've already got our first upload from CapitolHillSeattle's own JSeattle, who spotted a car accident near Eastlake last night.

Also, good news for you Android users out there: we're working on an app just for you, too!
