Columbia City Club to Reopen
Cool News: It looks like there is going to be a new live music venue in Columbia City! Or more accurately, The old Columbia City Theater is reopening. It's set to open on June 25. They don't have a website yet, (they do have a facebook page) but here are the details:
Their talent Buyer is Kevin Sur, who you might know as the architect for the lovely Doe Bay Music Festival (which means, as opposed to the old spot, the lineups might be pretty excellent.)
Jim Anderson, formerly of the Crocodile and Chop Suey, will run sound and it looks like they will have monthly showcases curated by local blog Sound on the Sound and by Larry Mizell (The Stranger, KEXP).
