An man was transported to the hospital earlier this evening after he was "intentionally run over" near a park in Crown Hill/Ballard.
According to scanner traffic, the 19-year-old male sustained "severe road rash" in the incident. No word on his condition.
Police are looking for a white male in his 50s, driving a beige minivan.
Update: SPD gave us a few more details on this incident.
This initially started as a threats call at the nearby Safeway. Officers were en route when they found the victim lying on the ground in the store's parking lot.
The victim's friends told police the man had gotten into a confrontation with the driver of a mini-van. The driver got out of his van, attacked the victim with a sledgehammer, got back in his van and tried to run him over.
Police say the victim had road rash across the "entire width of his body" that was "about the width of a tire."
The victim's injuries are not considered life threatening.
