This morning's Fizz reported that King County Executive Dow Constantine may announce today that sending a proposal for a sales tax increase to voters in August. The tax, likely a three-tenths of one percent increase, would help fund criminal justice services—cops, courts, public defenders.

Count spokesman Frank Abe tells PubliCola that at the conference, Constantine—along with council members and public safety officials—will announce that they support sending a proposal to voters to fund public safety.
