We hear about a lot of strange crimes here at Seattlecrime.com, but sometimes even we're shocked by the things some thieves will take.

Take, for example, this one-line police report for a bizarre theft in the 3200 block of 22 Ave W in Magnolia last week:

Unknown suspect(s) took 3 trees from the victim's front yard.

We've heard of thieves breaking in to cars to steal a handful of change (some asshole stole the faceplate to the CD player in our very own Crime Mobile last week...and nothing else) but we can't recall ever seeing a case of tree theft before.
