Another Stabbing Near Pioneer Square

By Jonah Spangenthal-Lee April 22, 2010

Three weeks after a 36-year-old man was stabbed near Yesler and Occidental in Pioneer Square, police are investigating yet another violent incident, this time at 2nd and Yesler.

Emergency room staff at a Seattle hospital—the report does not name the facility—called police at around 7:30am on April 14th after a man walked into the hospital, bleeding from a stab wound to his leg.

According to a police report, the man was "reluctant to tell [staff] about the circumstances [of] his injury" but said he had gotten into argument with two men at 2nd and Yesler around 5:00am.

"As the argument heated up, the...suspect pulled out a knife from his side and stabbed [the victim] in his left calf."

The man only gave a basic description of his assailant and refused to cooperate with police, the report says.
