Thurston Howell Is Not Amused

Stop the presses! Some rich people got burgled!

Seattle Police are investigating a string of home burglaries targeting two upscale neighborhoods.

The latest incident happened early Sunday morning near the intersection of 49th Avenue NE and NE 70th Street in the city's Viewridge neighborhood.  It appears the burglar entered through an unlocked door.  Computers and office equipment were taken while the family was asleep in their beds.

It's at least the third break-in in that neighborhood in recent weeks -- all while families were home.

Imagine if there was coverage like this every time someone got burgled in Rainier Beach.

After a few business got robbed in my neighborhood (Maple Leaf) my local community council rounded up a posse organized a meeting, which drew several hundred people, two city council members, the city attorney, North Precinct Captain, a sergeant, and a robbery detective. Uh buh?

That is all.
