Details on a pair of robberies from earlier this month:

March 12, North Seattle: Two attackers sent a man to the hospital after attempting to steal his backpack NE 127th St. and Lake City Way NE. According to the police report, the male attackers approached the victim around 9:30 p.m. while he was waiting at a bus stop. The first man asked him, "What's in your backpack, Boss?" When the victim responded, "Clothes," the first attacker tried to grab the backpack strap.

When the victim pushed the man's hand off, the second attacker hit him below the left eye, then on top of his head with an unknown weapon, something like a cane, stick or bat. The victim was treated for a black eye and lacerations on his cheek and the top of his head.

Police broadcast a suspect description to units in the area, but the report doesn't indicate whether officers made an arrest.

March 13, Downtown: Two muggers jumped a man and stole his cigarettes after pulling a man into an alleyway and punching him in the stomach, according to the police report. The victim was headed home around 2:15 a.m. after leaving Trinity Nightclub in Pioneer Square. The victim fell to the ground and covered his head, thinking they were going to start kicking him. Instead, they went through his pockets, but were only able to get away with his pack of cigarettes.

The report indicates the suspects may have been transients. It doesn't appear police made an arrest.
