Nurses Perform Live on Chat Roulette

By Anand Balasubrahmanyan March 20, 2010

Nurses, a PDX indie band I adore, just found a transcendent gimmick. They're using Chat Roulette
to make videos. Chat Roulette is a new social media program that lets a user set up a webcam and be connected instantly to another random user. If a user doesn't like what they see or gets bored by the conversation, the user can hit the 'next' button, and they will be randomly assigned a new person. It's kind of like speed dating except the chances of seeing a dude masturbating is way higher.

Nurses set up multiple webcams in their living room and performed a song, giving users of Chat Roulette a chance to stumble onto the performance. They recorded all of these responses and created a video that shows both their performance and their random audience's reactions. Some users heckle the band (“I bet I can play the drums better than you bitches”), some get really into the music and some are just people masturbating furiously.

Uh, I am actually serious about all the public masturbation so I haven't embedded the video below, but if you love Internet performance art as much as I do, follow this link!
