Just got off the phone with SPD who provided a little bit more information on the assault in Sand Point I posted about last night.

SPD spokesman Mark Jamieson said police received reports of a man with a gun in a parking lot in the 5200 block of Mithun Pl at about 9:00pm.

At the scene, police found a man with a head wound, who laying on the ground.

People at the scene told police they didn't know what had happened, and the victim was also uncooperative, Jamieson says.

However, one witness told officers they saw the victim arguing with another man minutes before the assault. 

Jamieson says police were unable to determine whether anyone actually pulled a gun during the incident.

The victim was treated at the scene and taken to Northwest Hospital.
