Inquest Into Shooting Death of Maurice Clemmons Scheduled for Next Week

By Jonah Spangenthal-Lee March 30, 2010

From the King County Prosecutor's office:

The inquest will be conducted by District Court Judge Arthur Chapman in Courtroom East 815. It will start at 8:45am on Monday April 5th. Judge Chapman has issued a court order indicating that he will allow one pool camera in the courtroom for the media to use.

One piece of information that (I don't believe) has been reported yet is that police now know who photographed Maurice Clemmons as he lay dying/dead in the back of an ambulance.

We've been told by several sources that the officer turned himself in shortly after the photo was circulated to members of law enforcement and, of course, reporters. The case is still under investigation by the Office of Professional Accountability.

Those of you without sensitive eyes can find the photo further down the page.
