Police say an employee at the West Seattle Jack in the Box masterminded a plot to rob the store last February.

Investigators say Michelle Miesner asked to be shot to hide her role in the Jack in the Box in West Seattle.

But a tip led detectives to focus on Miesner, the assistant manager. initially claimed to be a victim, and said two men burst into the restaurant while she was working, and pistol-whipped her.

But as detectives reviewed the store's surveillance footage, the evidence didn't add up. Then a tipster told police Miesner staged the whole thing.
