Police are investigating an assault and possible robbery in Sand Point.

SPD received the dreaded assault with weapons call in the 5200 block of Mithun Pl at about 9:00 p.m. and found an unconscious victim with a head wound.

It sounds like police don't think a weapon was used, and we heard one officer ask for robbery detectives.

K-9 units out looking for a suspect.
