Case in point: after running around Greenlake last week, two women returned to their car and found that someone had pried open their passenger door, gas tank, and trunk, and stole their purses. The women reported seeing a suspicious man who pulled up next to them as they were getting out of their car, but didn't give police much of a description. The thief apparently tried to use one woman's bank card shortly thereafter. It's possible the thief was captured on video surveillance.
