The Morning Blotter

Police arrested a man on Capitol Hill last week after he assaulted a woman involved in a bad drug deal, a police report says.

On January 26th, an officer on patrol near Bellevue Ave and E Olive Street spotted a fight and pulled over to find out what was going on. Witnesses told police a man had punched a woman in the face and run off.

According to the report, the man approached the woman, yelled "you were with her last night" and punched her in the face. The report says "both parties reported a possible "bad narcotics exchange" as the reason for the contact."

Officers found the man nearby and arrested him. He was booked into the King County Jail.

On Thursday night, two days after the incident, undercover SPD officers were all over the East Precinct looking for drug activity. We're working to get more info on the result of SPD's narcotics sting.
