Seattle City Light says scammers are posing as bill collectors to get customers' credit card numbers.

Recently, several customers said they got phone calls from people posing as utility workers threatening to disconnect the customer's electricity. The callers claim there are problems with the payment of the customer's bill and ask for a credit card payment to resolve the issue.

In some cases, they also asked for Social Security numbers.
