The Morning Blotter

Don't Do This/Belltown: A man flagged down a patrol officer near 4th and Bell on December 27th and told the officer he'd been robbed by a group of men and women when he stopped to ask them for directions. At about 9:00 p.m. the man pulled over near 4th and Lenora and asked a group of people standing at a bus shelter for directions to a McDonalds, a police report says. The members of the group coaxed the man out of his car and over to the bus stop. As the man was talking to the group, another man wearing a brown hoodie reached into his pocket and pulled out a gun. The gunman reached into the man's shirt and took $160 and the entire group fled. Police were unable to find any suspects.
