We're kicking off our PubliQuestion & Answer series with newly-elected Seattle City Attorney Pete Holmes on Thursday, January 14.



Erica and I will sit down with the social justice-minded city attorney and discuss Holmes' emphasis on alternatives to incarceration, drug reform, his theme of being the people's attorney (as opposed to the city's attorney), and his recent staff purge.

Appropriately enough, the main event that night at Town Hall is a panel on drug reform starring physician and writer Gabor Maté—whose worked with drug addicted youth in Vancouver, BC—and former Seattle Police Chief (and now mega drug reform advocate) Norm Stamper.

The main event costs $5 and starts at 7:30. Our event with Holmes (free) starts at 8:45. There will be beer and wine and snacks for sale.
