A man flagged down officers outside of Club Contour on 1st and Columbia last week and reported that he'd been robbed by a man who also attacked him with a shoe.

According to a police report, the man was drinking at the club on January 20th when he felt someone brush up against his pocket. He thought another man was trying to pickpocket him and told club staff about the incident.

Staff starting kicking people out of the club at closing time and while the man was exiting the club, the man he'd believed had tried to pickpocket him earlier grabbed an envelope—containing $15 and an old concert ticket—out of his hand and fled.

The man chased after the suspect, who turned and threw a shoe at the victim, punched him in the face, and took off.

The man flagged down officers and reported the robbery, but police were unable to locate the shoe-throwing suspect.
