Extra Fizz: Tenants' Rights Bill
Here's a bill we're adding to our bill tracker. (Our Olympia team, Josh Cohen, Teodora Popescu, and me, have a list of bills we're watching closely this session. And this one—civil rights, property rights, interesting stuff—came to my attention today):
Olympia-area Rep. Brendan Williams (D-22) is sponsoring a bill that would prevent landlords—unless they explicitly get tenants to sign off on it in a lease—from prohibiting political canvassers (candidates, their supporters, or people doorbelling on initiatives) from coming to the door.
You can follow bills that you're interested in too. Set up your own bill tracking account here.
