Today's Comment of the Day goes to Fat-tailed for his/her insightful (if a little juvenile) critique of Morning Fizz, where we poked fun at Seattle liberals for jumping on the Republican anti-public-employee bandwagon. As Fat-tailed pointed out, there's a big difference between frontline workers and top managers, leading us to think Democratic leaning labor unions might even get behind this view.
As @4 says, there’s a world of difference between cutting front-line public employees and cutting bloated senior/executive level employees. The first implies brutal cuts to public services. The second implies a slight reduction in “strategic advice.” Nothing inconsistent with applauding for the $150K jerks to get cut while pulling for front-line employees to keep up with the cost of living.
