CDN: Attempted Rape on 24th and Yesler
Central District News has some info on a report of an attempted rape and robbery at 24th and Yesler:
The 911 call came in just before 5:00am on Sunday morning, from a resident in the 100 block of 24th Ave who reported that a female had come to her door and said that a man had tried to rape and rob her. She said the man had a knife, and the caller reported that the woman was bleeding.The suspect was described as an hispanic male, 20s, 5'7", 180-200 lbs, in a gray hooded sweatshirt, light-colored beanie, and white 3/4 length pants with a stripe up the side of them. He was last seen westbound on Jefferson.Although the original blockwatch report referred to the victim as a girl, scanner traffic indicates that she was an adult who lives in the area. Medics were not called to the scene, and she was taken home by police. A vehicle occupied by a man matching the suspect description was pulled over at 23rd & Fir. However, he was determined to be uninvolved and released.
