Another Armored Car Robbery In South Seattle
Police are investigating another armored car robbery in South Seattle.
A police report filed on January 19th says a security guard was walking out of a 7-11 on Rainier Ave S and S Plum St. carrying a "large amount of cash" when he noticed a man standing in the parking lot, screaming into his cell phone. While the guard was distracted, the report says another man came at the guard from his "blind side," grabbed the bag of money out of his hand and ran off. Neither the guard nor his partner—who was sitting in the armored car—got a look at the suspect, and did not chase after him.
Earlier this month, another guard working for an armored car company was robbed while walking out of an auto parts store on Rainier Ave S and Seward Park Ave S. In both incidents, the suspect simply grabbed the cash out of the guard's hand and fled.
