Angie's Gets Another Stay of Execution
The city's efforts to close Angie's Cocktails in Columbia City—which we covered in our first-ever story here—have been delayed yet again.
Casey McNerthney at the Seattlepi.com has the story:
On Oct. 23, Angie's was issued a temporary permit that lasted through Dec. 31, 2009. On Christmas Eve, Angie's was issued another temporary permit that lasts through Feb. 28, Liquor Control Board spokeswoman Anne Radford said. Such permits can be issued until the renewal issue is resolved and allow the licensee to continue to serve spirits, beer and wine.
With pro-nightlife City Attorney Pete Holmes running things now, It'll be interesting to see whether he'll call off Carr's fight to close down Angie's.
