Last night, Pete Holmes told the crowd at Publicola's Town Hall event that his office will no longer file marijuana cases and has already dismissed charges against six different people. That's not quite true.

Holmes' spokeswoman Kathy Mulady says the city attorney's office has, so far, only dropped two pot cases. However, Mulady says criminal division head Craig Sims is currently reviewing “a whole stack” of marijuana possession cases for possible dismissal.

We don't mean to sound like we're picking on Pete—we're very happy to know that we can march through downtown, four-foot bong in tow, without having to worry about pesky criminal charges—but we thought we'd correct the record.
