A man driving a getaway car pulled a gun on a store clerk in North Seattle on December 3rd, shortly after his friend walked out the store's front door around 3:30 a.m. with a stolen $14.99 half-rack of beer— in a desperate quest for alcohol that ended well after the 2 o'clock witching hour.

According to a police report, the clerk was stocking shelves when he noticed a clean-cut male enter the store. Initially he paid the man no mind, but that changed when he saw the suspect make off with the half-rack (which based on it's price of $14.99, was either quite over-priced or some arts-and-crafts swill). 

The clerk ran after the man, chasing him around the corner of the building to where a white Acura was waiting. The clerk demanded that the two return the beer, telling the men that he would give police their license plate number. The driver then produced what appeared to be a black semi-automatic pistol. The clerk then put his hands up and walked away as the men sped off.

A check of the license plate number ties the car to a Bellevue address.
