The Morning Blotter Pt. 2
A 49-year-old woman who was stabbed by her boyfriend in Leschi last night has died, police say. According to SPD, just before 10:00 p.m., the man called police and said he'd stabbed his girlfriend. SWAT and patrol officers found the woman in an apartment in the 300 block of 28th ave South, and transported her to Harborview where she later succumbed to her injuries. Police arrested the man at a payphone at 23rd and Jackson. He was booked into jail for investigation of a domestic violence homicide.
Police have also released a few details on another of last night's stabbings, and say that an incident in Ballard started when two homeless men staying in a shelter got into a fight. One of the men stabbed and slashed the other man's throat and then fled. The man was taken to Harborview and apparently survived the incident. Police were unable to locate his assailant.
Finally, SPD officers also located and arrested Ryan Cox, who's been charged for allegedly spray painting homophobic graffiti all over West Seattle.
