The Morning Blotter
Free Career Advice: A man and his sister were walking out of a tobacco shop in Ballard on December 23rd when the man bumped into another man, who was also leaving the store. The two men exchanged words, and the second man—referred to in the report as "suspect #1"—pulled out a knife. The other man responded by pulllng out his cellphone and calling 911. The man with the knife fled—apparently in a vehicle—and the other man went home. When police came to the man's home to take a report, the man asked police if they'd found the suspect's car. According to the report, the man told police "there would be drugs inside [the car] for sure." The man informed officers that as the suspect fled, he shouted "You're just mad at me because I make more money selling drugs!" Police were able to connect the car with a Ballard area home, but were unable to locate the suspect.
