Carrying a Gun Won't Keep You From Getting Robbed/Ballard: A man walking home from dinner at a restaurant near Downtown Ballard had his pistol and wallet stolen during a mugging last month, a police report says. The man was walking near NW 58th and 24th Ave NW when he was apparently mugged. All the man could remember, the report says, was waking up around 3:00 a.m. on November 21st in the bushes somewhere near Jones Ave NW, with a headache and blood on his left hand. The man believes he'd been mugged because when he came to, his wallet was missing, as was his .9MM pistol, which he was licensed to carry. Police searched the area and found the man's gun lying on the sidewalk several blocks from his home. His wallet was not recovered. No arrests were made.
