We just got off the phone with SPD spokesman Mark Jamieson, who says police still aren't sure what happened to a man who was initially thought to have been stabbed in the International District last night.

Police and medics responded to 10th Ave S and S Jackson last night after receiving a report that a man had been stabbed in the stomach. At the scene, police found an apparently uncooperative victim, who refused medical attention and screamed at police.

When officers tried to approach the man, he apparently screamed "fuck you guys" at police and walked away eastbound. Officers followed him tried to convince him to let medics examine him, but the man kept screaming and eventually climbed a fence and walked off. The last place officers saw the man was at Broadway and Jefferson.

Medics never did get to take a look at the man, who police say had blood on his hands, but did not appear to have any life-threatening injuries. Police don't know whether he was stabbed or not.
