A 21-year-old man was injured in what appears to be a drive-by shooting in the Central District a few minutes ago. It sounds like the wounded man was shot in the thigh, is conscious, and is being taken to Harborview. He's lost a lot of blood.

The shooting took place at 29th Ave S and S Charles Street. Shots were apparently fired from a red vehicle with four men inside.

(UPDATE @11:08) Police have stopped a red hatchback near South Cloverdale Street and Park Drive South. Officers have called for back up.

(Update @11:24) No word on whether police have any suspects in custody, but it sounds like officers are still running the plates of lots of silver and red cars in central and south Seattle.
