Creepy Dude Sneaks Into Woman's Motel Room

By Jonah Spangenthal-Lee December 21, 2009

A woman staying in an Aurora motel got a rude awakening earlier this month after a creepy, creepy man broke into her room in the middle of the night and kept her there for nearly 20 minutes.

According to police, the woman awoke at about 5:30 a.m. on December 11th and saw man standing next to her bed, looking at her. When the woman screamed, and asked the man how he'd gotten in her room. He told her to calm down, and then said "I'm very good at what I do."  The man continued to talk to the woman, addressing her by her name—the report says the only person who knew the woman was staying at the motel was her sister—and refused to leave her room. During the conversation, the man reportedly told the woman "You look a lot sexier when you're mad," and asked, "where's your man?"

After about 20 minutes, the woman was able to force the man out of the room. Before he left, the man stood outside of the woman's room and told her he'd be back.

When the woman called the hotel staff to report that someone had broken into her room, police say employeesl "were skeptical and told her that she may have been dreaming." The motel staff did not call the police.

Several hours later, the woman called 911 to report the incident. Police reviewed surveillance video from the motel, and officers spotted a man matching the description given by the woman—a black male, 20-25 years old, about 6'0 with an afro—speaking with the desk clerk and another motel guest on the tape.

Police showed the video to a staff member who recognized the man as a former employee at the motel. When police ran the man's name they turned up several warrants, including one for burglary. The report doesn't say anything about an arrest in the case.
