Central District: Police believe they prevented a shooting in the Central District early this morning after officers broke up a fight at 13th and E. Jefferson St. At about 1:00 a.m., when officers contacted three men who were getting ready to brawl, one of the men dropped a handgun to the ground. Officers arrested the man, found that he'd started the fight, and had pulled a gun on the two other men. The gun was also stolen.Police booked the man into jail for harassment and possesson of a stolen firearm.
Downtown: A group of teens robbed a man for his iPhone just after midnight near the Seattle Art Museum and then told him they'd sell it back to him for $100, police say. The man did not pay the ransom.
