The Morning Blotter
Sporked: The victim—who a police report says uses an oxygen tank to breathe and an electric wheel chair to get around—was waiting for the #7 at a bus stop in the 1200 block of South Jackson St. on November 21st when a woman approached her, screaming obscenities. The screaming woman took out a white plastic spork and stabbed the wheelchair-bound woman in the face, just below her left eye. The spork-wielding woman then ran out into the road at S. Jackson Street and, the report says, and "llifted her long deep purple dress and black lace under dress." The woman "did not have underwear on," the report says. According to the report, the woman with the spork began flashing the victim, bystanders, and motorists, exposing her buttocks and vagina. After exposing herself, the woman then ran towards the woman in the wheelchair and again threatened her with the spork. The other woman was not able to flee, due to the fact that she was in a wheelchair, but a bystander intervened and confronted the spork-wielding woman. She then fled the scene on the #7 bus (surprise!). Shortly thereafter, police received two 911 calls about a woman matching the description of the sporker, who was standing in the road near I-90 and Rainier Avenue South, "baring herself naked from the waist down," Police found the woman, who was wearing the spork as a "headpiece," and arrested her. The report says police believe the woman was intoxicated. She was taken to Harborview for a medical evaluation. "The 'spork' was placed into evidence," the report says.

Tongue Lashing: A 22-year-old man was waiting at a bus stop at Rainier Ave S and S Henderson when a 16-year-old boy grabbed the man's cell phone and took off running. According to a police statement about the incident, "the victim gave chase, armed with a soccer shoe." The 22-year-old man chased down the teen and, police say, "began liberally applying his shoe to the would-be robber." The teenage robber ran to a nearby patrol car and asked police for help. Instead, police arrested him and booked him into the Youth Service Center for robbery.
