The Seattle Police Department SWAT team and hostage negotiators surrounded a Haller Lake townhome earlier this evening after an armed man barricaded himself inside.

At about 6:30 p.m., a woman called police to say that her boyfriend had made threats to kill himself. Police surrounded the man's home, in the 14300 block of Stone Way, and eventually coaxed the man out of the house a little more than two hours later. He was taken in to custody and transported to Harborview for a mental evaluation.
