Players who picked up the Windows version of top-selling game Modern Warfare 2 have reported receiving viruses while mid-game—so long as players are "hosting" an online battle, at least. The designers' customer support team confirmed this via Twitter, though it's hard to tell if their response has a typo in it:

It is possible to get a virus while playing the game. It is close to possible to get a virus FROM the game or from the servers.

Did she mean to type "close to impossible"? Dunno. Either way, I look forward to John Hodgman dressing as a MW2 -style military commando in the sure-to-come "I'm a Mac" parody.
