Report from the Glassblowing Studio
The Seattle Glassblowing Studio is packed. Supporters of Pete Holmes, Nick Licata, and David Bloom are thronging the space, and having their way with an array of tasty snacks. Enthusiasm is running high, the beer cooler is half-empty, and all three candidates have already arrived.
PubliCola talked to all three candidates, or representatives thereof, about their chances for the evening.
“We are guardedly optimistic,’ said Noah Burgher, campaign manager for David Bloom. Good natured cackling could be heard in the background.
“I’m feeling very hopeful,” Nick Licata says. “Butt I’ll feel a lot more hopeful when the responses come in.”
“I’m really optimistic, but glad its almost over,” Pete Holmes said. “Just by the endorsements alone, expecting Publicola, we’re doing really great.”
The crowd, unsurprisingly, leans towards crunchy. No one is wearing suits except the campaign staffers.
