Rachel Flotard, Pt. 2: "I Wanted to Make a Record Where I Didn't Fast-Forward Through Anything."
Warren Etheredge takes another sip of Visqueen and Rachel Flotard.
Visqueen's latest album—inspired by the death of Flotard's father—is bona fide indie phenomenon, beating out the Beatles on the sales charts (the White Album anyway) and getting a shoutout from CNN.
In this installment: Flotard admits she's scared of—and turned on by— Ringo; that finding a bass player is "the X factor;" and that she "packed my can into some leather pants" to overcome stage fright.
