No Way to Say This But Ugh

By Brian Slodysko November 10, 2009

Prosecutors filled charges today against Brian and Hollie Reston, a Kent couple who allegedly repeatedly raped their four-year-old daughter while taking both cellphone photos and webcam footage, which they later distributed over the Internet.

Each Reston is being charged with four counts of sexual abuse.

The Seattle Times is reporting that the couple have filed pleas of not guilty, though court charging documents say both confessed to the charges under questioning.

Both Restons will be denied access to the Internet and prohibited from having contact with children (Brian Reston has two older boys, ages 11 and 13). Bail was set at $500,000.

Local authorities began investigating the Restons after the FBI gave them details from a California case involving San Diego resident Richard Hockaday II. According to prosecutors Hocakaday -- who is currently facing child molestation charges in California --  had been receiving photographic images of the Restons engaged in illicit sexual acts with their daughter. In once instance, Hocakaday watched a live video feed of Brian Reston—-a large man, weighing  about 300 pounds—-engaging in sexual acts with his daughter. These details came to light after Hockaday told his court appointed therapist, wanting to come clean about his activities and expose other child molesters that he knew of.
