Home Invasion Near Columbia City
Police are looking for suspects in a home invasion robbery in Columbia City last week.
A Columbia City resident told police he was sleeping in his room at around 11:30 p.m. on October 27th when he heard a knock on the front door of his apartment, in the 3700 block of S Angeline. The man thought it might be his roommate and was opening the door when two masked men burst into the unit. The masked men kicked him in the stomach, knocking him to the ground. The masked men then blindfolded him and held a gun to his body
The thieves—who, the man told police, spoke only in Spanish—made off with $330 and a cell phone, but did not take a laptop, other cell phones, cameras, or cash in the apartment, a police report says. Police also recovered several bullets left sitting on a bed, which the man said did not belong to him.
