Fence 1, Ninja 0
There's one less ninja roaming Seattle's streets, police say, after a shadow warrior was wounded on First Hill last night. At about 11:15, police were searching the neighborhood around Harborview hospital for an assault suspect when they found a man screaming for help. The man was impaled at the top of a metal fence, police say.
Medics arrived and helped remove the man from the fence, and transported him to Harborview naarby.
Police interviewed the man to find out whether he'd been involved in the earlier assault. He told officers he was not, and that he had ended up skewered by the fence not because he was running from anyone, but because he believed he was a ninja and would be able to successfully leap over the four or five foot fence.
According to a police department statement about the incident, the man was "clearly...overconfident in his abilities, no doubt bolstered by alcohol,"
