Beacon Hill Couple Robbed In Their Home By Men Claiming to be Police
A group of men dressed as police officers broke into a Beacon Hill apartment last week and robbed a couple at gunpoint. At 2:45 a.m. on November 1st, two white SUVs rolled up to an apartment complex in the 2300 block of Beacon Ave S.
A man sitting in his apartment looked outside and saw the vehicles, along with six men wearing badges. The man remarked to his girlfriend that police were at the apartment complex and went back to what he was doing.
Moments later, he heard a knock at the door, and someone on the other side quietly said “police,” a police report says.
As the man got up to answer the door, a man wearing a black ski mask wearing a badge kicked it in, pointed a gun at him, and told him to "Put [his] fucking face on the ground."
The masked man held a gun to his head as three other men entered the apartment. One of the men in the group told the woman in the apartment "Gimme your money and your jewelry or I'm going to fucking kill you." After about five minutes, the group left, taking a cell phone, a wallet, and $7,500 cash, and jewelry.
The couple told police they may have seen the couple earlier that evening at a taco stand.
