1. The tenth anniversary of the World Trade Organization protests is technically on Monday, but there are a couple of events this weekend commemorating the riots and their after-effects.

For starters, the Northwest Film Forum is showing the Yes Men Fix the World, the second film about a group of anti-corporate media hijackers who pretend to be spokespeople for large corporations (one time, one of them went on the BBC news pretending to be a spokesperson for the chemical company that caused the Bhopal disaster ). Whether or not you agree with their in-your-face anti-corporate stance, it's uncomfortable to watch, and weirdly entertaining. Kinda like Borat without the jokes.

Nov. 27 to Dec. 3, at 7 pm and 9 pm, at the Northwest Film Forum. Tickets are $9.

Seattle University is hosting a series of workshops and panels this weekend that will address different aspects of globalization, from the economic to the ecological.

11:30 to 6 today, 10 to 3:30 tomorrow, at Seattle University's Pigott Hall.

2. The Vera Project is hosting an all-ages dance party tonight, featuring Sabzi, the wise-cracking, dusty R&B-spinning DJ for Blue Scholars, and Soul, whose 12 consecutive years of hosting Reggae night at War Room are in danger of dying with the club.

There's a $5 cover, but there's always the possibility you'll win the $50 prize for best dancer.

3. It's not too late to try to get a ticket to the Morrissey concert at the Paramount Sunday night.

4. Mayor-elect Mike McGinn kicks off his triptych of town halls on Monday night. McGinn says he wants to hear the biggest concerns from all over the city before he's sworn in.

Monday's meeting is way up North at the Northgate Community Center, on 5th Ave NE and NE 105th. On Tuesday, McGinn will be at Langston Hughes Performing Arts Center in the CD, and on Wednesday he'll be at Rainier Beach High School
